Health Concepts, Ltd. And Home Health and Hospice Care of Nursing Placement are proud to announce their pending merger within the long-term care and home health genre, making it the first company of its kind in the state of Rhode Island.  

Health Concepts owner, David M. Ryan and Nursing Placement owner, Michael A. Bigney share a common vision of creating a closed-loop health care network for Rhode Islanders providing multiple facets of home health care and rehabilitation service, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities and hospice services. In essence, a “one-stop shop” for most of your health care needs.  

The story of Health Concepts, Ltd. is one about family values. Founded in 1964, Health Concepts began as small local nursing center with the sole purpose of caring for its neighbors, Today, it is one of Rhode Island’s largest long-term care providers. The story of Home Health and Hospice Care of Nursing Placement is also one about family values. Nursing Placement was founded more than 40years ago by Marcia Bigney and Maria Barros and today, is still owned and operated by the Bigney family.
