Our Story

Rhode Islanders Caring for Fellow Rhode Islanders

We started Health Concepts to care for our neighbors, and, in the process, they’ve cared for us. We’ve been privileged to help thousands of individuals in need of skilled nursing and short-term rehabilitation and, in return, they have helped us grow from one small nursing center in 1964 to Rhode Island’s largest skilled nursing provider, employing more than 1,400 Rhode Islanders in 6 nursing centers throughout the state.

Family-owned and operated, we follow the same philosophy today as we did in 1964:  We believe that we have done our job well only when we have provided a level of service that far exceeds the needs and preferences of those we care for.
